Shirva: Speeding bike kills 40 year old man; critically injures son

Shirva, Sep 22, 2022: A man lost his life while his six year old son sustained critical injuries after they were hit by a speeding bike at Bantakal on September 21 night.
The deceased is Sharanappa Balappa Ganjihala (40) from Ilakal taluk in Bagalkote district. The injured boy is Shravan Kumar. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Udupi.
The father and son who had come to purchase groceries were standing on the road side in front of Asha Complex when the bike knocked them down.
The bike rider has escaped from the scene of the accident by abandoning his vehicle.
Shirva Police have registered a case.
