Rehman Murder: All five accused remanded to police custody for further probe

Bantwal, June 02, 2025: All five individuals arrested in connection with the murder of Abdul Rehman have been remanded to police custody for further investigation.

The case involves the killing of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Koltammajal, and the assault on Khalandar Shafi at Irakodi in Kurniyal village. The Bantwal rural police have taken custody of the accused to conduct a more detailed probe.

The arrested suspects have been identified as:

Deepak (21), from Mundrakodi, Kurniyal village, Pruthviraj (21) and Chinthan (19), from Shivajinagar, Ammunje, Sumith Acharya (27), from Tenkabellur, Raviraj (23), from Badagabellur

After being produced before the court, they were handed over to police custody.

Authorities are continuing the investigation to uncover possible additional involvement in the crime. Police sources indicate that more individuals may be detained for questioning as the case unfolds.
