Shiroor: Cops thwart cattle smuggling attempt; arrest one person

Udupi, June 3, 2025: Police have thwarted an attempt to illegally transport cattle and sell beef and have arrested one person at Kelapete Usmania Mohalla in Shiroor village.
The arrested man is Mohammad Sajid. A case has been registered under the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act 2020.
During investigation, it was also found that he had brought four cattle with the objective of slaughtering them.
