Bengaluru, June 3, 2025: Leaders cutting across party lines on Monday expressed hope that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) would lift its first Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy. The RCB will take on the Punjab Kings in the IPL final on Tuesday.

“After a long time, Bengaluru boys...RCB...have come to the finals after a very long time. They’ve done their best. We’re all waiting for their victory. I’m told that many people from Karnataka are going to Ahmedabad to watch the game. I wish (RCB) that they win. Let’s pray for that,” Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said.

Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy said that the RCB was widely expected to win. “After many years, the RCB team is in the finals. I wish that our RCB cricketers find success,” he added.

“Ee baari cup namde (This time the cup is ours),” Women & Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar said. “I have great interest in cricket. I was up until 3.30 am last night to watch the game between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. I pray to Goddess Chamundeshwari that the cup should be ours (RCB’s) this time,” she said.
