Puttur, Jan 11, 2016: Thieves who broke into the house of Puttur’s well-known physician Dr K Suresh Putturaya have decamped with cash and valuables worth Rs 15 lakhs on January 9, Saturday night.

Dr Putturaya and his wife Dr Asha were away in Mangaluru when the theft occurred and came to light when the housemaid arrived as usual on Sunday morning. She immediately intimated her employers.
The thieves had broken open the side door of the house leading to the doctor’s clinic for patients visiting his residence. They had then forced open the wardrobe and stole the cash and gold.
Senior police officials including ASP SB Rishyant, Inspector Mahesh Prasad and others visited the spot . A dog squad and finger print experts too were pressed in to service.
This is the second theft in Puttur town in the past one week period. Six days ago, thieves had burgled a house at Parladka and decamped with cash and gold.
Being rich is also not safe in our country, the robbers have eye . They should be very cautious in every move. The police have to trace the culprits involved in the buglary of the doctor’s house.
