Palakkad division announces changes in train services

Mangaluru, Jun 3, 2026: To facilitate track maintenance works at various locations in the Palakkad railway division on multiple days, changes have been announced in train services, including cancellation, partial cancellation and regulation.

Cancellation of train service

Train No. 56604 Shoranur Junction–Coimbatore Junction Passenger, scheduled to commence journey on June 9, 2026 from Shoranur Junction, will be fully cancelled.

Partial Cancellation of train service

Train No. 16307 Alappuzha–Kannur Express, scheduled to commence journey on June 18, 2026 from Alappuzha, will be short-terminated at Kannur South. The service will remain partially cancelled between Kannur South and Kannur.

Train No. 12082 Thiruvananthapuram Central–Kannur Janshatabdi Superfast Express, scheduled on June 18, 2026, will be short-terminated at Thalassery. The service will remain partially cancelled between Thalassery and Kannur.

Regulation of train service

Train No. 56604 Shoranur Junction–Coimbatore Junction Passenger, scheduled on June 6, 2026 from Shoranur Junction, will be regulated en route for 30 minutes.

Train No. 12618 Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction–Ernakulam Junction Mangala Lakshadweep Superfast Express will be regulated for one hour en route on multiple dates: June 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29, 2026 and July 1, 2026.

Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central–Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Express will be regulated for one hour en route on June 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 2026 and July 2, 2026.

Train No. 12218 Chandigarh–Thiruvananthapuram North Kerala Sampark Kranti Superfast Express will be regulated by 35 minutes en route on June 10, 17, 24, 2026 and July 1, 2026.

Train No. 16329 Nagercoil Junction–Mangaluru Junction Weekly Amrit Bharat Express will be regulated by 40 minutes en route on June 23, 2026.
