Mangaluru, July 04, 2023: Monsoon has gained momentum in the coastal district since Sunday midnight. On Monday there was extensive rainfall across the district. As per the information from the State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, statistics of the rainfall recorded for 24 hours till 8 am on Tuesday, Pajir village of Bantwal taluk recorded the highest rainfall of 172.5 mm.

During this period Munnur received 155 mm rainfall, Kotekar 154 mm. Kinya 135 mm, and Bala 122.5 mm.
Meanwhile the Weather Department has predicted widespread rainfall in several districts of the state for the next three to four days.
