Remo gave away the best male singer prize to Rony D’Cunha, best female singer to Ulfa Khwaja, best lyricist award to Damodar G. Naik, best composer award to Chole Rahmat Khan and Amul Mainkar, best album present to Vanil Veigas, and best music arranger award to Cajetan Dias. Remo was indeed the highlight of the event and he entertained the audience with a song from the new Konkani movie “O Maria” and “Maria Pitashe” and a satirical version of the traditional Konkani song “Undir Mhojea Mama.”

Earlier, an old Konkani movie “Amchem Noxib” was shown, and a dialogue on “Gumtam” was led by Joel Pereira. Traditional games such as laggori were played and contests such as “weaving the palms” were held.

The evening’s award ceremony was spiced up by instrumental interludes by the all-women CTAG quartet and dance performances by Nach Sobhann. The paintings of noted artists were auctioned off for as high as Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000.

Later in the evening, the Konkani movie “Bhuiaranthlo Monis” was screened.
