A reconciliatory meeting held at the Panambur DCP office on September 28 in the presence of senior officials and representatives of all stakeholders had failed to arrive at a consensus and the lorry owners association has decided to go ahead with the strike.

The Association President Sushanth Shetty said the minimum rent amount has not been increased and a hike of Rs 100 per ton is not sufficient. In this backdrop strike will be held as decided, he said.
