Mangaluru, May 14, 2025: A passenger was fined ₹1,500 by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) after pulling the emergency chain during a dispute over a seat.
The incident occurred on a passenger train that departed from Subrahmanya on Tuesday. Due to heavy crowding, a quarrel broke out between two passengers near Bantwal over seating arrangements. In a moment of frustration, one of them pulled the emergency chain, causing the train to come to an unscheduled stop.
