Mangaluru, Apr 13, 2026: A fire broke out at a car alteration centre in the Falnir area on Monday morning, damaging three cars and several items inside the shop. The incident was reported around 7.30 am.

According to initial reports, three vehicles left at the centre for alteration work were gutted in the blaze. Tools, equipment, and spare parts stored on the premises were also destroyed.

The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. Local residents, who noticed smoke billowing from the shop, alerted the Fire and Emergency Services.

Fire personnel from the Pandeshwar Fire Station rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. No casualties or injuries were reported, as the shop was unoccupied at the time.

The exact extent of the damage is yet to be ascertained.
