Vittla, Apr 14, 2026: A man has been arrested for allegedly manufacturing firecrackers illegally without a licence or safety measures at Kambalabettu Amai in Vittla.
The accused, identified as Jagadish Poojari, is a local resident.
According to police, he had been storing explosive materials used for making firecrackers within his house premises without adhering to mandatory safety norms.
During a raid, officials seized approximately 1.9 kg of suspected explosive substances from the site.
The accused has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered at Vittla Police Station. Further investigation is in progress.
