Mangaluru: Karnataka Bank gets 3 new General Managers

Mangaluru, Aug 01, 2022: Karnataka Bank has promoted three of its Deputy General Managers viz., Shri Jayanagaraja Rao S, Shri Ananthapadmanabha B and Shri Ramesh Bhat as General Managers.

Shri Jayanagaraja Rao S, is a Post Graduate in Business Administration, Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) and also holds PGD in Management (PGDM), Diploma in Management (DIM) and PGD in Operations Management (PGDOM). 

 

He started his career in the Bank in 1997 as an Officer and has worked both at operational and administrative levels at various locations across the country. He was elevated to the cadre of Chief Manager in Dec 2011 while heading Tirupur – P N Road Branch and later headed Salem Branch as Chief Manager from Feb 2012 till March 2015. He was promoted as Assistant General Manager in March 2015, and headed Chennai Region from May 2015. From May 2017, he served as Assistant General Manager of HR & IR Dept, Head Office before being elevated as Deputy General Manager of HR & IR Dept., Head Office in 2019. He has been heading Mumbai Region since July 2020.
 
On promotion as General Manager, he will be in charge of HR & IR Department and will also be the Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of the Bank.

 

Shri Ananthapadmanabha B, is a Bachelor of Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) and a Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (JAIIB). He is also a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).

Shri Ananthapadmanabha B, started his career in the Bank in 1995 as Manager. Initially he served at Accounts Dept., Head Office, Mangaluru and at Data Centre, Bengaluru. Upon his elevation to the cadre of Chief Manager in 2004 he served at IT Cell – Bengaluru  and Bengaluru – Data Centre, where he was elevated as Assistant General Manager in October 2008. Later, he served at HO-Risk Management Department and at HO - IT & MIS Dept., during the period from 2011 to 2014. On his promotion to the cadre of Deputy General Manager in March 2014, he headed HO – IT & MIS Dept., HO- IT Bus Cell and HO – Transformation Cell.  He also worked as the CISO of the Bank during 2017.

He has been heading HO – IT & MIS Dept. as Chief Technology Officer of the Bank since Nov 2019.

On promotion as General Manager, he will be in-charge of IT & MIS Dept and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Bank.

Shri Ramesh Bhat, is a Master of Science in Agriculture and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

 

Shri Ramesh Bhat, started his career in the Bank in 1990. He has served in various branches and administrative offices in different parts of the country rising through the ranks before being promoted as Chief Manager in 2010. He served at HO – Credit Dept. – Agricultural Support Group from May 2010 till March 2014 as Chief Manager. In March 2014 he was elevated as Assistant General Manager and served at HO – Credit B Dept. - Agricultural Support Group & MSME, till May 2017.

As Assistant General Manager, he also headed Mangaluru Region from May 2017 to April 2019. He was promoted to the cadre of Deputy General Manager and headed HO-Credit Marketing Dept – MSME and Agri during the period from May 2019 to April 2021. He has been heading the HO – Branch Banking & Digital Channels Department since April 2021 till date.

On promotion as General Manager, he will be in-charge of Credit Monitoring Department.
