Mangaluru: Auto-rickshaw driver killed in collision with a car and his auto.

Mangaluru, Aug 29: An auto-rickshaw driver lost died after a car rammed into his vehicle near Manur, near Neermarga in Mangaluru. The victim has been identified as Kishore Kumar (48). He was travelling from Adyar Katte towards Neermarga when the incident took place.

The collision occurred on a downhill stretch near the Manur temple, where a car—allegedly driven at high speed and in a reckless manner by Arfaz Ahmed Afrid—approached from the opposite direction and crashed into the rickshaw.

The force of the impact flung the rickshaw into a roadside ditch, with the car reportedly coming to rest on top of it. Kishore sustained critical head injuries in the crash. Although locals rushed him to Wenlock Hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.

A case has been registered at the Mangaluru South Traffic Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
