Mangaluru: 32 year old head constable dies of heart attack

Mangaluru, Oct 04, 2023: Somanagowda Chowdhuri (32), a head constable in the City Police Commissionerate limits, has died of heart attack on Tuesday.

 

Chowdhuri had joined the Police Department as  CAR Constable and later was promoted as head constable. He was serving as a driver for the police control room inspector. On Tuesday he had reported to duty and had been to a shop when he collapsed all of a sudden. Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, doctors pronounced him dead.

Senior police officials including City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal paid last respects to the departed head constable.

The body was later sent to his hometown of Vijayapura.
