Boy death

The incident took place on April 11 near a bhajana mandir close to the Mahakalipadpu underpass. While playing cricket, the ball fell onto the roof of the temple, and when Varun went to retrieve it, he accidentally touched a live electric wire and died on the spot.

Varun had appeared for his SSLC examination just a week ago and was awaiting his results. His father, Kannan Gowda, runs a small canteen in Mahakalipadpu.

MLC Ivan D’Souza visited the boy’s residence, offered condolences to the family, and assured them of securing compensation.
