Mangaluru: 10 year old girl dies after retention wall falls over house

Mangaluru, May 30, 2025: A ten year old girl lost her life after a retention wall collapsed at Kanakare in Belma village near Derlakatte on Thursday night.
The deceased is Fathima (10), daughter of Naushad. The retention wall of a hill behind the house of Naushad collapsed and the mud and stones fell into the window of the house which broke and landed on the sleeping girl. Though she was immediately rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved.
