Mangalore : Physiotherapy students hold candle light vigil in memory of Delhi gang rape victim

Mangalore, Jan3,2012: Hundreds of physiotherapy students  took part in a candle light vigil held at Nehru Maidan in Mangalore on January 2 to pray for the soul of the Delhi gang rape victim and also to demand justice in the case. The programme was organised by the Physiotherapy Students Association.

The participants also observed a two-minute silence and prayed for the soul of Damini and many more victims of crime against women.


The Association also said it would support the bundh call given on January 3 to protest against the gang rape and to demand tougher action against perpetrators of such crime. All physiotherapy clinics will also observe bundh.


Students from various physiotherapy colleges in the city including Fr Muller Physiotherapy College, Masood College, Srinivas College, Netaji College, MV Shetty College and AJ Shetty College of Physiotherapy, took part in the programme.
