Mangalore : J R Lobo holds second Victory Rally from Kankanady to Pumpwell

Mangalore, May 27, 2013: A ‘Vijayotsava Rally’ was organised  by Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo along with his supporters from Kankanady Market Grounds to Pumpwell here on May 27, Monday evening. This is the second victory rally of  the MLA in the city.

The procession with Lobo in an open jeep passed through Mahaveer Circle, Gorigudda, Jeppinamogaru, Bajal, Padil, Kannur and returned to Pumpwell. The rally was organised to thank the voters of Mangalore South constituency for the support they extended during the recent Assembly elections.

Addressing a meeting, Lobo said  apart from  ensuring adequate precautionary measures to avert monsoon related eventualities, he would also accord top priority to  construction of footpaths, good roads, side drains and provision of drinking water facility.

Stressing the need for a stable law and order  scenario in order to avert communal tension, Lobo warned of stern action against those trying to disturb peace by resorting  to moral policing. At the same time, he said there would be no interference in the functioning of the Police Department.
