KSRTC to operate 3,000 extra buses for Dasara holidays, 700 special buses for Mysuru Dasara

Bengaluru, Oct 10, 2026: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate more than 3,000 additional bus services from Bengaluru to various destinations during the Dasara holidays from October 16 to 20. It will also run 700 special buses for Mysuru Dasara.

The additional services will operate from Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic), Mysuru Road Bus Station and the BMTC bus station at Shanthinagar.

The special buses will connect Bengaluru with destinations including Mangaluru, Udupi, Kundapur, Puttur, Dharmasthala, Kukke Subrahmanya, Sringeri, Horanadu, Shivamogga, Madikeri, Davangere, Gokarna, Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Karwar, Ballari, Hosapete, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Nellore, Chennai, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Salem, Tiruchirappalli, Kumbakonam, Coimbatore, Madurai, Panaji, Mantralaya, Pune, Ernakulam and Palakkad, among other places.

Additional buses will also be operated based on advance bookings from Vijayanagar, Yeshwanthpur, Jayanagar and Banashankari TTMCs, Basaveshwara Nagar, Domlur and other bus stations.

Special services from various destinations to Bengaluru will be operated on October 20 and 21 to facilitate the return journey of holiday travellers.

For Mysuru Dasara, KSRTC will operate 300 special buses from Bengaluru’s Mysuru Road Bus Station to Mysuru and another 400 buses from Mysuru to various destinations.

These services will cater to tourists visiting Chamundi Hills, KRS Dam and Brindavan Gardens, Srirangapatna, Nanjangud, Madikeri, Mandya, Malavalli, H.D. Kote, Chamarajanagar, Hunsur, K.R. Nagar, Gundlupet and other places.

The special services will supplement existing bus operations, including Karnataka Sarige, Rajahamsa, Sleeper, Airavat, Airavat Club Class, Ambaari Dream Class, Pallakki Sleeper and Ashwamedha services connecting Mysuru with various destinations.

KSRTC will establish information centres at Mysuru’s mofussil and city bus stations to assist passengers. Additional services will also be operated from taluk and district bus stands depending on passenger demand.
