Man stabbed to death by father-son duo at Carstreet apartment complex

Mangaluru, Nov 04, 2021: In a shocking case, a resident of an apartment complex at Carstreet was stabbed to death by a father and son duo, who too are residents of the same building late night on November 3, Wednesday.

 

The deceased is Vinayak Kamath (44),  resident of Veera Venkatesh Apartment on Mahamayee Temple Road. He was a manager at a travels firm at Karangalpady. The accused are Krishnananda Kini and Avinash Kini. Amani Kamath, the wife of the deceased has lodged a  complaint following which the accused were arrested.

Vinayak Kamath who was critically injured following the stabbing had died during the wee hours of Thursday.

The MCC had recently repaired the road in front of the gate close by the flat where Vinayak Kamath was residing.  It has been learnt that  the accused used to pick up a quarrel with Vinayak Kamath since few days on the issue of other cars using the space. On Wednesday night at around 11 there was a quarrel between the three at the parking area of the apartment when Krishnananda reportedly stabbed Vinayak Kamath. A profusely bleeding Kamath was immediately rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.

Bunder police are investigating the case.
