Kasargod woman jumps off apartment in Kuwait; body flown back to hometown

Kasargod, Sep 30, 2013  : The body of a  woman hailing from Madikai in Kasargod, who allegedly committed suicide by jumping  off the window of her apartment in Kuwait on September 24, Tuesday, was taken to her hometown on September 29, Sunday.

The body was earlier brought to the Mangalore International Airport by a flight.

Later, it was  shifted to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. The 33 year old woman named Sushma  had settled in Kuwait along with her husband Prakash Krishnan of Kushalnagar, Kanhangad, 10 years ago.

It is said  Prakash who had informed Sushma’s family members that his wife had committed suicide, had reportedly written to the Indian Ambassdor in Kuwait  as well as Kasargod police  expressing  suspicion over the death of his wife.

The Ambalathara police have now registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating.

Sushma’s parents have sought a thorough probe into the case.
