Kadaba, January 19, 2026: A case has been registered at the Kadaba Police Station following allegations of assault, caste-based abuse, and criminal intimidation at a bar and restaurant in Kadaba village.

According to the complaint, Jagadish (28), a resident of Palthadu village in Kadaba taluk, visited Surabhi Bar and Restaurant at Kalara in Kadaba village on January 16 between 10:00 pm and 10:30 pm. After finishing his meal and while standing near the cash counter, three acquaintances—Ajay, Baby, and Anil—allegedly picked a fight without provocation, abused him using caste-based slurs, assaulted him by hitting his cheek, head, shoulder, and back with their hands, and issued death threats.

Based on the complaint, Kadaba police have registered a case under Crime No. 08/2026, invoking Sections 115(2), 352, and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, along with Sections 3(1)(r) and 3(1)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. Further investigation is underway.
