Mangaluru, Apr 3, 2026: In a major boost to international connectivity, Jazeera Airways has announced the launch of special twice-weekly flights between Kuwait and Mangaluru via Dammam, with services set to begin on April 9.
The airline on Wednesday revealed plans to introduce four new destinations in India—Calicut, Tiruchirappalli, Mangaluru, and Kannur—through Dammam Airport.
Flights to Mangaluru will operate on Mondays and Thursdays starting April 9, with a total travel time of approximately six hours. Flight J9 3417 will depart Kuwait at 8:40 am local time and arrive in Mangaluru at 4:10 pm via Dammam. The return service, J9 3418, will leave Mangaluru at 4:55 pm IST and reach Kuwait at 7:40 pm local time.
Jazeera Airways had earlier operated special flights to Mangaluru during the Covid-19 period. Despite the ongoing war situation in the Middle East, the airline has decided to resume services on this route.
CEO Barathan Pasupathi said flights to Calicut will run twice weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays from April 8, while services to Tiruchirappalli will operate on Sundays and Tuesdays starting April 7. Flights to Kannur are scheduled to begin on April 14, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays.
He added that since resuming operations to India on March 20, the airline has carried more than 11,000 passengers. The expansion brings Jazeera Airways’ India network to 12 destinations, complementing existing services to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram, and enhancing travel convenience for the large Indian community in Kuwait.
