Honey-trapping of Kerala businessman: 8 including young woman arrested

Mangaluru, June 29, 2023: CCB and Kavoor police in a joint operation have arrested eight persons including a young woman for honey-trapping a Kerala origin businessman.

 

Those arrested are Preetham of Bondel, Kishore of Moodushedde, Murali, Sushanth and Abhi. The young woman who was arrested is of Moodbidri origin.

Kerala based businessman Moidin Kunhi had reportedly been to a resort at Moodushedde near Vamanjoor on February 16 along with the young woman from Moodbidri with whom he had come into contact. While the two were in the resort, the accused men barged into the room at night and not only took photographs but also demanded money from the businessman.

Though he managed to escape then by handing them the cash which he had with him, the accused had demanded more money in the days to come.  It is learnt, the businessman lost over Rs 10 lakhs in this way and unable to bear the pressure had lodged a complaint with the Kavoor police who have succeeded in arresting the accused.
