Hebri: Man dies after accidentally consuming poison mistaking it for alcohol

Hebri, December 3, 2025: A man died after accidentally consuming a poisonous substance mistaking it for alcohol in Balladi Ishwar Nagar of Mudradi village.
The deceased has been identified as Thammu Poojary (78), a local resident. On November 20, he reportedly consumed the brake fluid oil kept at home, assuming it to be liquor.
As the substance was toxic, he fell seriously ill and was admitted to Wenlock District Hospital in Mangaluru, where he passed away on the morning of December 2 without responding to treatment. A case has been registered at the Hebri Police Station.
