Great response to membership drive, claims State Youth Congress Chief

Mangaluru, Nov 14, 2016:  State Youth Congress President and MLC Rizwan Arshad has claimed that there was unprecedented response to the membership campaign launched by the Youth Congress.

Speaking to reporters here on November 13, Sunday he said Youth Congress has been working with the objective of utilising the youth force towards the development  of the nation.

The State youth Congress earlier had 6.5 lakh members and it was targeted to  achieve a membership of 10 lakhs. But going by the response which the campaign has received it is expected to reach total membership of 20 lakhs, he said.

 The last date for registration for Youth Congress membership  is November 25, he said and added internal elections will be held later on in a transparent manner.

He said studies are being undertaken to find the possibilities of  winning of Youth Congress candidates if fielded in the next assembly elections in the state.

Youth Congress District President Mithun Rai, Corporator Praveen Chandra Alva and others were present.
