IMD warns of landslide risk in Karnataka’s coastal, ghat regions

Bengaluru, Jul 17, 2026: Heavy rainfall is expected across Karnataka’s coastal districts and the Malnad Ghat regions on July 17 and 18, increasing the risk of landslides in several vulnerable areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an advisory urging residents to remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution due to the forecast of intense rainfall and the possibility of landslides.
