The incident occurred between Karmali railway station in Maharashtra and a station in Goa. According to reports, the youth was seen moving suspiciously inside the train on Thursday. When Railway Ticket Collector Laxman Pawar attempted to question him, the suspect suddenly ran through the coach.

Passengers travelling to Mangaluru, including Nagaraj Poojary from Kundapur, along with Vadiraj from Surathkal and Manjunath Shanti, chased and caught the youth.

During the scuffle, the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the passengers. However, they managed to disarm him by snatching away the weapon. Railway staff later handed the accused over to Goa Police.

After being caught, the youth reportedly identified himself as a resident of Mumbra in Mumbai when questioned by passengers. Reports also alleged that some passengers assaulted him before he was handed over to the police.
