Uplakshya Goyal from Rajasthan, Ayush Bhalotia from Bihar, and Kudale Shravani Krishna from Maharashtra secured the third, fourth, and fifth ranks, respectively.

Among state toppers, Kashi Dhal, who secured All India Rank (AIR) 24, was the highest scorer from Delhi, while Vaishnavi Das, with AIR 20, topped Karnataka.

According to official data, 19 candidates scored 700 or more marks, while 138 candidates scored above 690. A total of 1,492 students secured more than 650 marks.

The examination was conducted at 5,440 centres across 551 cities in India and 14 international cities, with nearly 20 lakh students appearing for the entrance test. Qualified candidates are eligible for admission to undergraduate MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and allied health science programmes.

The Ministry of Education said candidates from every state and Union Territory appeared for the examination, which was conducted in 13 languages. More than 58 per cent of the successful candidates are women, and most of the top performers are between 17 and 19 years of age.

The NEET-UG examination was reconducted after the original test was cancelled due to a paper leak. The controversy had sparked nationwide criticism, with Opposition parties targeting Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged lapses in the examination process and demanding accountability.
