Film ‘Mooka Manasu’ to portray travails of differently abled

Udupi, Mar 10, 2013: For the first time in the history of Kannada film industry, a differently abled man will play the lead role in a movie  named ‘Mooka Manasu’ which will be produced by the Federation of Physically Handicapped Association. The film is all about differently abled and is intended to bring them to the mainstream and serve as an inspiration to them.

             

 

Informing this to the media, Wilfred Gomes, President of the Association, said  Jagadish Bhat from Udupi will play the lead role. The Rs 40 lakh budget movie will be shot in various parts of DK district apart from Kodagu and Chikmagalur district, beginning from second week of April.

He said the government would be requested to release funds for the movie   Gomes further said the film directed by Sadananda Udupi will focus on the travails of differently abled man and how he is discriminated upon in the society.

Jagadish Shetty, Sadananda Udupi, Vishu Shetty, Krishnamurthi Acharya were also present at the press meet.
