Mangaluru, Feb 3, 2026: The golden jubilee celebrations of the Aikala Bava Kanthabare–Boodabare Kambala will be held on February 7 and 8, with preparations almost complete. Giving priority to the regulation of gambling and strict adherence to schedules, Aikala Kambala Association and Aikala Kambala Committee president Belapu Deviprasad Shetty said necessary measures have been put in place.

Addressing a press conference at a private hotel in the city on Monday, he said complaints had been received regarding gambling activities at Kambala events. “Such activities will be completely controlled at the Aikala Kambala. Timings have also been fixed for the release of buffaloes. If buffaloes do not arrive at the track within the stipulated time, appropriate action will be taken. This will ensure discipline and time management,” he said.
