FMCH inaugurates 5-day Decafest 2010

Mangalore Feb 19: Dr. M Mohan Alva, the chairman of Alva’s Education Trust, inaugurated the 5-day “Decafest 2010,” organized by Fr Muller Medical College on Feb 18, Thursday. Lauding the cultural riches of India, he called upon the youth to work hard to save this culture.

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Denis D’Sa, the administrator of Fr Muller Medical College Hospital, introduced Dr. Alva to the audience. Fr. Patrick Rodrigues, the director, presided over the programme. Dr. J P Alva, the dean, made the welcome speech. P T Jayaram, the co-coordinator of Decafest 2010, expressed gratitude. Dr. Sanjeev Rai, the medical officer, and Dr. Arun P Jose, the student co-coordinator, were present for the inauguration ceremony. 

The fest, which includes 30 events, will conclude on Feb 21. The event, which includes pot-breaking, computer gaming, arm-wrestling, and so on, is the first of its kind in Mangalore. Thirty-six colleges related to medical, dental, engineering, and law studies are participating in the event.
