Expert PU college marks 40th ‘Expert Day’ with grand celebrations and academic excellence

Mangaluru, December 24, 2025: Expert PU College, Kodialbail, marked a historic milestone by celebrating its 40th “Expert Day” on December 20, commemorating four decades of academic distinction and holistic development.

The celebrations were officially inaugurated by alumnus Mr. Vasanth Kamath, CEO of Smallcase, who praised the institution’s enduring legacy. “Expert teaches the true meaning of hard work. These two years set the precedent for the hours that help you achieve your goal,” he said.

The day began with a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony on the college premises, signalling the commencement of the festivities. The inaugural session was presided over by esteemed alumna Dr. Arpitha A. Ranjan, a renowned paediatrician, who reflected on her journey, stating, “Education is not only about marks and certificates, it is about learning to think, adapt and serve.” She added, “Institutions like Expert build character and discipline that help students in their future careers.”

The Chairman addressed the student body with an inspiring message, emphasizing, “One shouldn’t live life but rather lead one.” Following this, Vice-Chairperson Dr. Ushaprabha Nayak lauded the institution’s foundational pillars, remarking, “Expert builds confidence, and confidence builds character; therefore, an expert has a transitive relationship with character.”

In the evening, the formal program featured the presentation of the Annual Report 2025-26 by Principal Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, highlighting a year of remarkable achievements. In keeping with tradition, the college honoured its academic rank holders, presented merit awards recognising scholastic and co-scholastic excellence, and crowned the ‘Expert Super Star’, recognising the most exceptional student talent of the year.

The celebrations included a rich array of performances. Musical presentations by Raaga and Illuminara set a melodious tone, while Nidhir Avyaya and Madanika showcased classical grace. Contemporary acts like Clown Kings X1 and Rhythm Rockstars brought vibrant energy to the stage, and the dramatic enactment of ‘Narakaasura Moksha’ captivated the audience. Creative modern performances by Na’vis at Pandora and the electrifying finale Mahakala Lasya left a lasting impression.

The event was graced by eminent musician Ustad Rafique Khan and Dr. N.K. Vijayan, Principal of Expert PU College, Valachil Campus. Mr. Prithvi D’Souza welcomed the gathering, while Programme Director Bharath Chandra proposed the vote of thanks. The event was flawlessly hosted by the masters of ceremonies.

Expert Day 2025 concluded as a grand celebration of excellence, talent, and the spirit of the institution, leaving students and guests inspired and enthralled.
