Draft anti communal violence bill is anti Hindu - Muthalik

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, july 31: Shri Rama Sene (SRS) leader Pramod Muthalik stated on Sunday that the bill proposed to prevent communal violence was anti Hindu, labeling the bill as another policy to appease the minorities adopted by the UPA government led by Sonia Gandhi.

Addressing reporters in Mangalore, Muthalik said that the bill, which is soon to come up during the next session, is targeted against Hindu leaders. He pointed that all the members of the National Advisory Council (NAC), which prepared the draft of this bill, are anti Hindu and that one of them is a foreigner. Pointing out the fact that no Muslim country has a bill such as this, he said that the NAC should have included Hindu religious leaders such as heads of various mutts while creating this bill.

Also expressing his concern that nobody has been arrested with regard to the Mumbai blasts, he said that almost every blast in India is connected to Karnataka, especially Bhatkal. He also said that the Jagannath Shetty Commission, which had investigated the Bhatkal riots, said that there are terrorist elements in coastal Karnataka.

When a reporter wanted to know if the RSS was somehow connected to the recent blasts in Mumbai, Muthalik responded that it has now become a fashion to link the RSS to almost every blast that takes place in India.

Regarding the chaos in the current political scenario in Karnataka, he said that it was “unfortunate” and that the people of Karnataka were deeply disappointed with the state government.

Kumar Malemar, Prasad Attavar, Mahesh, and others were also present.
