Bantwal, Nov 04, 2023: The decomposed body of an unidentified person was found in the Netravathi river near the AMR dam at Shambhur on November 4, Saturday.

The dam workers who noticed the body informed the police. It is suspected that the person might have died around 15 days ago. The body is so much decomposed that it is not sure whether it was that of a man or a woman. A fancy bracelet was found in one wrist of the body.

The body has been placed in Bantwal Hospital crematorium.
