Mangalore, Nov 12, 2011: The 15th-year Friendly Convention of the DK District Judicial Department Employees was organized in the auditorium of SDM Law College today.
Justice H. R. Deshpande, the district and sessions court judge, inaugurated the event and said in his inaugural address that he hoped court workers do not have any demands this year because all their demands were satisfied last year. Even if they do, their demands will be satisfied at the earliest, he added.






He also suggested that the annual friendly meet must be held without fail to help employees maintain cordial relations with one another. He also urged court workers to be responsible because this is what helps lawyers and judges deliver quick judgment.
Twenty-one retired workers and clerks were felicitated and Prathibha Puraskar was conferred on deserving students. Keshav Kadri spoke about the retiring workers on this occasion.
B. S. Prabhakar Prasad, the president of the Karnataka State Judiciary Department Employees Association of Bangalore, presided over the event.
S. P. Chengappa, the president of the Mangalore Bar Association; H. Sanjeeva of the Karnataka State Judiciary Department Employees Association; and H. Shridevi, the chief administrative officer of the district court were the chief guests of the occasion.
