Belthangady: Attempt to assault Tahsildar; case filed against two men

Belthangady, Jan 20, 2024: A case has been registered in Belthangady police station against two men in connection with an incident wherein a few people obstructed government officials from discharging their duty and also attempted to assault the Tahsildar at Maddadka. The case was registered as per the complaint filed by Belthangady Tahsildar Prithvi Sanikam.

 

Assault


The incident took place on January 18 when the Tahsildar had been  to Maddadka along with Revenue Inspector and other officers for inspection with regard to encroachment of a government land. On this occasion Naseer and Rauf who had allegedly encroached the land had tried to prevent the officials and also allegedly attempted to assault them and also abused them.

Further investigations are in progress.
