Bengaluru, Apr 16, 2026: In a sustained crackdown on drug trafficking, Bengaluru City Police have arrested 10 suspects and seized narcotics with an estimated market value of ₹23.63 crore.

The operations were carried out over the past few weeks by teams from Yelahanka New Town, DJ Halli, Banaswadi, Koramangala, Bommanahalli, and Pulakeshinagar police stations. Among those arrested are three foreign nationals, including two women, along with two local residents and five individuals from other states.

Drug

Police recovered 5.919 kg of MDMA crystals, 1.151 kg of cocaine, 21 kg of ganja, and 19 grams of ecstasy pills. A two-wheeler used in the operations was also seized. The total value of the confiscated drugs is estimated at ₹11.81 crore, with the street value nearly double.

According to police, the raids were launched based on credible intelligence inputs about the sale of narcotics across multiple jurisdictions in the city. Cases were registered under the NDPS Act, following which coordinated raids were conducted at identified locations, leading to the arrests on different dates.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly admitted to sourcing drugs from foreign, interstate, and local suppliers at lower prices and selling them for profit, targeting the general public, including college students.

Police said efforts are underway to trace the wider network of suppliers, both domestic and international. All the accused have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
