Belthangady: 82-year-old man lost in forest found after 6 days

Belthangady, May 30, 2024: An 82-year-old elderly man named Vasu Ranya, who went missing in the forest was found after six days. Vasu Ranya had gone to the forest on May 21 and while returning, he lost his way. He showed relentless determination and perseverance even after staying hungry for 6 days (May 21-May 26).

 

The elderly man wandered around the forest, but failed to locate a way and was lost. He was lost in the forest without finding the way. Despite the lack of a basic necessity like food, the elderly man reached home alive, brimming with self-confidence and courage. During his stay in the forest, he had to spend 6 days and nights amidst heavy rains, leeches and wild animals. He completed his stay in the forest under a tree.

The valiant disaster management team led by an officer named Avinash Bhide has conducted a continuous search to find Vasu Ranya. They searched every nook and corner of the forest from morning till night. Despite leaving no stone unturned, they could not locate the elderly man. People living nearby assumed that he might have fallen somewhere in a valley or ravine. They also thought that he might have been attacked by an elephant or could have lost his memory because of hunger.

After finding no other way to get out of the forest, Vasu Ranya used to stand on a massive rock and started shouting as loudly as he could. Fortunately, his voice reached the disaster management team, who were searching for Vasu Ranya. They followed the trail and managed to locate the old man sitting under the tree.

Everyone is shocked to see the courage of the 82-year-old man and how he survived even after facing extreme anxiety, hunger and other problems. Vasu Ranya thanked God for providing him with the willpower to survive these harsh circumstances.
