Bantwal, Dec 23, 2023: Bantwal Police have arrested two persons from Mangaluru on the charges of snatching the chain of the lady owner of a grocery shop at Ajjibettu in B C Road.

Those arrested are Ashoka (34) of Baikampady and Sachin (34) from Dambel. The duo had arrived at the shop on the pretext of making some purchase and snatched the gold chain of the owner Sarojini as she bent towards the cash drawer to get the change. Both the accused were wearing helmets to conceal their identity.
