Kadaba: 10-year-old boy dies after consuming medicine for headache

Kadaba, March 21, 2026: A tragic incident was reported from Kodyadi in Ramakunja village of Kadaba taluk, where a 10-year-old boy died after consuming medicine at home for a headache on the evening of March 18.

The deceased has been identified as Chirag S. (10), a Class 5 student of a private school in Ramakunja and son of Sanjeeva Poojary, a resident of Kodyadi.

According to reports, the boy had been suffering from recurring headaches and had taken some medicine available at home on the evening of March 18. Soon after, his mother noticed him writhing in distress and immediately informed his father. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to a hospital in Puttur for advanced treatment. However, doctors declared that he had already passed away.

Based on a complaint filed by Sanjeeva Poojary, a case has been registered at the Kadaba Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
