Mangalore, Dec 18, 2011: B. S. Yeddyurappa, the former chief minister, arrived at Mangalore Airport at 10:15 a.m. today and informed reporters that he does not wish to become the state president of the BJP although it is the BJP high command that has to take the final decision.
He also said that he is sure that CM Sadananda Gowda will win the legislative election because all MLAs support the party. Regarding the quarrel between Shriramulu and Eshwarappa, he said that he will discuss the matter with Shriramulu.
When he visited Mangalore a few days back, Yeddyurappa had avoided the media. But this time, he was quite media friendly.
Yeddyurappa first visited Polali Temple. He is also scheduled to visit Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Temple. He will spend the night in Mangalore and leave for Kalladka on Dec 19 Monday.
B. Nagaraj Shetty, MLC Ganesh Karnik, and Shobha Karandlaje welcomed the former CM at the airport.
