BJP protests in Surathkal against Congress govt’s ‘anti-people policies’

Mangaluru, June 23, 2025: Alleging that the state Congress government is pursuing anti-people policies, members of the BJP Mangaluru City North Mandal staged a protest today in front of the Surathkal City Municipality office.
The protestors expressed anger over several issues, including the delay in issuing 9/11 approvals under the 94C title deed scheme, difficulties faced by the public due to the e-Khata system, non-disbursement of old-age pensions and Sandhya Suraksha funds, cancellation of eligible BPL cards, and the refusal to accept applications for new ration cards.
They also accused the state government of failing to allocate any special grants to the Mangaluru City Corporation for the past two years. BJP workers, including MLA Bharath Shetty, actively participated in the protest.
