Annual Lakshadeepotsava comes to an end

Dharmasthala, Nov 26, 2011: The Lakshadeepotsava, an annual event at Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala, came to an end on Nov 25, Friday. The grand rathotsava or car festival of Lord Manjunatheshwara was held on the previous night.

On Friday, a puja was offered to Chandranatha Swamy, after which a Samavasarana Puja was held at Mahotsava Auditorium. The idol of Jina was taken in a procession to the accompaniment of Jain devotional songs by Brahmila Devaraj and Prema Sooryaprabha of Hassan. A dance drama titled Sankalpa Himse was also presented on the occasion.

Thousands of devotees participated in these rituals. Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, the dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, D. Surendra Kumar, D. Rajendra Kumar, and D. Harshendra Kumar were also present.
