Alleged baby exchange at Lady Goschen : Infant dies before DNA test is out

Mangaluru, Nov 16, 2021: A new born which was in the news following allegation of  baby exchange at the Lady Goschen Hospital, has died on November 15, Monday even before the DNA test is out. The District Court had earlier permitted to conduct DNA test in order to know the truth.

 

As per the court orders the DNA samples of the baby and its parents were collected today and sent to the laboratory in Hyderabad  for test.

 It may be recalled here that   a woman from Kundapur had given birth to a baby in the hospital. The  family was informed that  it was a baby girl. The baby was kept in the ICU owing to breathing problem. Later, the authorities informed that the baby was a boy. Unhappy over the developments, the family suspecting that the new born might have been exchanged, had filed a complaint at Bunder police station.
