Mangalore, Jan.17: Dr. Ronald Fernandes, Principal correspondent , Deccan Herald launched ‘Acies Media’ venture today, January 17, at a special function organized at Moti Mahal, Mangalore. Launching the venture, Mr. Fernandes said “The electronic media has come to being the most powerful and fastest in communication today. In the past decade, the reach of this media has quadrupled and perhaps over taken other media”. “Unlike the print media, TV, Radio and internet can reach the people instantly. It may have its own drawbacks of limited details and restriction of time. But, it is fast overtaking the other communication channels in clarity and content” he added. 

 

 

 

 

 

“The Multimedia Industry is a huge, fast moving and involves almost everything we see and use in our world today. Many things have driven the growth in the multi industry, but in particular the huge growth in the use of the Internet. The boom in the IT industry and the emergence of cable TV and convergent entertainment segments have made this a medium with a lot of potential for growth and creativity, particularly taking the emerging international markets into consideration” said Mr. Ronald Gomes, President, Catholic Chanber of Commerce and Industry.

 

“Multimedia tools span a wide spectrum - from video and sound editing to special effects, virtual reality, animation, games and interactive programming. It is a world in which creative people use text, graphics, animation, audio and video with computer interactivity to create new visual and virtual worlds. The field of advertising, both on-line and off-line, has been one of the key beneficiaries of multimedia technology. Multimedia is being used extensively by organisations  for short films, documentaries, advertising and many other purpose” said Rajesh Venur, the Technical Director of Acies Media

 

Rev. Fr. William Menezes, PRO, Mangalore Diocese presided over the function. He wished the entrepreneurs all success in their new venture. ‘Success comes to those who strive for it. Hard work and total dedication can win any hurdles and win the race” he advised the young entrepreneurs.
