Kerala saw several protests last week against poor conditions of roads in the state. However, the protests failed to gain any politician’s attention.
A 52-year-old man lost his life after he fell on the road due to a pothole on the National Highway at Nedumbassery in Ernakulam district and was run over by a truck.
The Kerala High court has asked the National Highway Authority of India to take immediate measures to rectify every road under their control.
The court also directed to do it without any further delay and within one week’s time.
