Mangaluru, Nov 8, 2026: The World Konkani Music Convention, organised by Mandd Sobhann at Town Hall in Mangaluru, has crossed 110 hours of uninterrupted singing, marking a major milestone in its attempt to enter the Guinness World Records.
The event aims to set a record in the category of ‘Longest Singing Marathon by Multiple Singers’. With 110 teams having completed their performances, another 190 teams are scheduled to participate in the coming days, the organisers said.

On the fifth day, participating teams presented a variety of musical performances. Several non-Konkani groups also joined the marathon, singing Konkani songs and adding a multicultural dimension to the event.
The completion of 100 hours of continuous singing was celebrated with fireworks at Town Hall in the presence of organisers, artistes and Konkani music enthusiasts.
The 12-day, 12-hour and 12-minute cultural extravaganza will culminate in a grand finale at 5 pm on November 15.
The ambitious initiative has drawn attention from music lovers and cultural enthusiasts across the globe.
