Two Arrested with 213 Grams of Ganja Near Maryhill Junction in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 8, 2026: The Kavoor police have arrested two men for allegedly possessing 213 grams of ganja with the intention of selling it to youngsters near Maryhill Junction in the city.
The arrests were made on November 5 when a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Lokanath K was on patrol duty within the Kavoor police station limits.
According to the police complaint, the team noticed two men behaving suspiciously beside a scooter near Maryhill Junction while travelling from Mullakadu towards Maryhill. On noticing the police, the suspects allegedly attempted to flee but were apprehended by the personnel.
The arrested men have been identified as Mohammed Ayan (25) of Pandeshwar and Mohammed Nisar (27) of Hoige Bazar, Pandeshwar.
During the operation, police seized 213 grams of ganja, nine transparent zip-lock covers, two mobile phones and a scooter from their possession.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were allegedly waiting to sell the narcotic substance to youngsters.
